www.ghostsandspokes.com is part of The Assist The Officer Foundation provides financial assistance to officers who are facing the loss of income due to a serious injury, life-threatening illness or other catastrophic event. Immediate assistance is also available to an officer’s family in the event of the death of an active officer.

Since its creation in 1999, the foundation has provided assistance to dozens of officers and their families who were faced with any number of different life-altering situations.

Success Story:

The Dallas Police Association Assist the Officer Foundation in 2009 provided financial assistance to 4 Officers families due to death and 67 Officers due to serous life threatening illnesses and catastrophic events totaling over $ 100,000.

The Officers were faced with the deaths of spouses and children, illnesses like cancer, stroke, kidney failure and other life threatening illnesses. Officers also faced financial difficulties after motorcycle and auto accidents and house fires that destroyed their homes.  Over 67 Officers also received confidential counseling from our unique program that allows counseling without the worry that it could affect their future with the department.

Since the inception of ATO (11) eleven years ago ATO has paid out over $600,000 dollars to Officers and their families in need.
